Genoa: Autumn Colors Patchy but Still Pretty

We wandered over to Genoa today, October 5, 2024, to see if we could find any fall color. The town of Genoa and the country roads leading to it were on the low end of patchy (5%). A little yellow is starting to show up in the cottonwoods (5%). Red maples are also coming into their own, but also still patchy (15%).

Hiking on the Sierra Canyon Trail on the north end of town, we found some aspens by the stream that were just starting to change (15%).

The Genoa Canyon Trail on the south side of town will also be a good choice for someone who wants an easy-moderate walk along the stream (it gets steeper past that point).
