Fay Luther and Highway 206 Fall Color Happening Now

Fay Luther Trail in the Carson Valley—and the road leading up to it—was looking mighty pretty this past weekend on Saturday, November 1, 2025 and Sunday, November 2.

The cottonwoods and other trees along Luther Creek are peaking, as are the groves that you can see if you drive along Highway 206 from Highway 88.

Wind gusts in the valley today and more expected tomorrow and Wednesday may cause a lot of leaf loss in the next couple of days. Wednesday expect rain at lower elevations and snow above 7,600 to 8,500 feet in the mountains. We recommend getting out there sooner rather than later.
