Washoe Valley and the Washoe Lake area is starting to brighten up with fall color. Professional Photographer Patrick Wilkes was out and about on Friday, November 1 looking for autumn color photos and found some good color near Washoe Lake.
There was still a surprising amount of green for this time of year, but most of the trees were in the Getting Better stage (50%), providing some nice contrasts between the greens and the yellows.
He found the best lighting a bit away from the lake, which is where he took the photos.
The best autumn foliage in the area, he said, was in Bower’s Mansion Regional Park, although he did not have time to make it over there to capture the color.
