The Grand Finale Grove is once again living up to its reputation as being the last grove to change color at Hope Valley. When most of the other autumn color has faded in Hope Valley, the Grand Finale Grove puts on a dependable fall foliage show.

I drove up to it on October 27, 2026 and found that 60% of it was orange and yellow while the remainder was a lime green mixed with yellow.

When backlit by the sun in the late afternoon it can look stunning and usually people are pulled over on the side of the road taking photos, especially on weekends.
If you do this, be sure your car is all the way off the road and be careful of oncoming traffic.

You can also take a walk or drive up the dirt road that bisects the Grand Finale Grove. Be warned, though, that they could close the gate to the dirt road when unsettled weather rolls in this weekend.

The Grand Finale Grove is located on State Route 89, between Hope Valley and Luther Pass.
